After counting of votes by a representative from our Auditors, EY, Marilyn Robinson was elected as President of Access Industries for the Disabled Limited for a three (3) year term, commencing 24 June, 2016.
Marilyn has had been associated with Access Industries since 1981, working in Head Office administration and in training and welfare support. She retired from employment in 2000. Since 2008, Marilyn has been a member of the Access Industries Board of Directors. Marilyn has spent many years volunteering at various community service organisations and nursing homes including being the Secretary/Treasurer of the Young Adults Multiple Sclerosis Society from 1980 to 1987.
At this election, Marilyn succeeded the sitting President, Norm Drew. After five successive three year terms, Norm decided that “someone else should have their turn”. Previously Norm held the position of Chair of the Access Industries Board of Directors. During his employment at Access, Norm worked in the Finance department.
