We are hiring – Production Planner

We currently have a vacancy for a Production Planner to join the Customisation service team. This is a permanent position and will be based at Erskine Park. This is being published internally and externally to provide a potential opportunity for interested internal Access Industries staff to progress and develop their career.

This key role will establish a structured approach to aligning production capacity with customer demand, meticulously crafting detailed production schedules to ensure efficient workflow progression. The Production Planner will adeptly monitor and adjust these schedules, responding proactively to any shifts or unforeseen disruptions, with the goal of minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity across all stages of the production cycle.

Main responsibilities:
• Manage production scheduling and capacity planning, liaising daily with customer production planner to meet requirements within set timelines.
• Maintain Master Production Schedule, effectively managing production workload and capacity.
• Collaborate with Production Supervisor and assist with effective and efficient management of production capacity to ensure schedule deadlines are met.
• Coordinate and manage production plans for initiative projects, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders and efficiently plan and allocate capacity to meet project deadlines.
• Provides support to the team to quickly identify and address issues, finding practical and innovative solutions.
• Track and monitor daily production capacity, ensuring regular reporting on operations status.

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate:
• Strong technical skills in production planning tools and software, such as SAP and MS Excel, to manage schedules, process orders, and analyse capacity.
• The ability to strategize and implement detailed production schedules that align with customer demand and production capacity.
• A proactive approach to adapt and manage competing production priorities in response to shifts in demand, unforeseen disruptions, and changing environments.
• The capacity to work collaboratively with various departments, including purchasing, warehousing, and production, to ensure a seamless flow of operations.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise and collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring clarity and coordination in production schedules.
• Strong commitment to safety and proven understanding of WHS Legislation.
• An innovative problem solver who is pro-active, takes initiative and collaborates with stakeholders to achieve great outcomes.
