We’re proud to announce the launch of the MSM30116 Certificate III in Process Manufacturing at our Seven Hills facility, a structured 12-month training program open to both supported and non-supported employees. It is the first time we have offered this qualification in-house, and it marks a significant step forward in our commitment to genuine career development for people with disability.
This isn’t a one-off workshop or a short awareness course. It is a real, accredited qualification, delivered by Access Knowledge (RTO 45311), that gives our people the skills and credentials to advance in the manufacturing industry.
What Is the MSM30116 Certificate III in Process Manufacturing?
The MSM30116 Certificate III in Process Manufacturing is a nationally recognised vocational qualification designed for workers moving from entry-level production roles into more advanced positions. It is part of the Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services Training Package and is recognised by employers across Australia.
Where entry-level roles focus on following instructions and completing basic tasks, the Certificate III builds the technical depth and problem-solving ability needed to take on greater responsibility on the production floor.

Who Is This Program For?
The program is designed for employees at Access Industries Seven Hills who are ready to take the next step in their manufacturing career. It is open to both supported employees (those working under an NDIS Supported Employment arrangement) and non-supported employees in production roles.

What Will Participants Learn?
The program covers a range of skills that are directly applicable to our operations at Seven Hills, and valued across the broader manufacturing sector.
Safety and Quality
Participants will develop a thorough understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) procedures and learn to apply quality standards consistently across their work. This goes beyond following rules: it builds the judgment to identify risks and maintain standards under real production conditions.
Advanced Operations
Moving beyond basic task completion, participants will learn to operate equipment with greater independence, set up assembly processes, and work within production schedules while maintaining accuracy and output.
Problem Solving and Process Improvement
A key focus of the Certificate III is developing the ability to recognise when something isn’t working and take appropriate action. Participants will learn to identify inefficiencies, propose improvements, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Technical Skills
Hands-on training covers the use of hand tools, assembly line setup, production record keeping, and hitting output targets safely and consistently.
Teamwork and Communication
Manufacturing is a team environment. Participants will build the communication skills needed to work effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and support staff, and to contribute constructively to team goals.
How Is the Program Delivered?
One of the strengths of this program is that it is delivered entirely on-site at our Seven Hills facility. There is no need to travel to a separate training centre or navigate an unfamiliar environment.
Training combines two complementary approaches:
- Classroom-based learning provides the theoretical foundation: understanding manufacturing principles, WHS legislation, quality frameworks, and the reasoning behind production procedures.
- Practical, on-the-job training applies that knowledge immediately on the factory floor, using the actual equipment and processes participants work with every day. This means skills aren’t learned in the abstract: they’re embedded in real work from day one.
This blended approach is particularly well-suited to our workforce. Learning in a familiar, supported environment reduces the barriers that can make formal training feel inaccessible, and it ensures that what participants learn is directly relevant to their roles.
