Making a Mark: Mark Groth Earns Top Honours At All Ability Sports Presentation

People with disability achievements

Newcastle, NSW—On April 6, 2025, we had our all-ability sports presentation day for the league tag and cricket for the past year’s season.

I received several awards including the Michael Bortel state award which is named after a person who has been a mentor and a legend in cricket.

I also won the Hunter Taverner’s division state player award and AASC representative player of the year award based on how I played on our trips away and our success.

For my consistent work throughout the season, I was named in AASC team of the year for league tag and cricket.

My commitment to sport also got me 100% club inclusion.

The Hunter Taverner’s, a charity supported and run by former and current representative players, empowers individuals through sporting opportunities.

My goal for the upcoming season is to keep up the great work, play well and have another awesome season.
