Sydney, NSW – Access Industries is thrilled to welcome Terry Weir, who has joined our team as the new Safety and HR Advisor.
Terry steps into a role designed to encompass both Work Health and Safety (WHS) and training, and we’re incredibly excited about the wealth of experience and knowledge he brings.
Terry comes to us with a diverse background, having spent nearly 25 years in the automotive industry, primarily with the NRMA, where he first embarked on his safety career. Since then, he has expanded his expertise across various sectors, including the hospital and not-for-profit areas, where he has worked with troubled youth and young adults.
One of the key aspects that attracted Terry to this role was the opportunity to work with supported employees. He shared that this is something he’s done in the past and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, making him a fantastic fit for our organization’s values and mission.
Terry is eager to collaborate with the Access Industries team to enhance our understanding of safety for all workers. His ultimate goal is to ensure that “everyone who attends work goes home in the same condition they arrived.” He’s also looking forward to rolling out new training initiatives and, of course, keeping everyone as safe as possible.
